2009-2010 Kairos Registration

Fr. Peter Claver, the Jesuit saint, once said, “Seek God in all things and we shall find God by our side.” That idea is the essence of our Kairos retreat.

The Kairos retreat, which loosely translated from Greek means “God’s time,” is an opportunity for the senior class to come together for moments of prayer, reflection, and fun. The themes from the four-day retreat are taken from the Spiritual Exercises of Saint Ignatius Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits. The flexibility of the program allows each retreatant to explore his individual faith life and to become open to God’s love. It is also a chance to build and develop community – and to recognize and appreciate the love and presence of family and friends in one’s life.

Kairos is held at a beautiful, ocean-side retreat house on the Jersey Shore. It is open to all seniors – regardless of whether or not they attended the Emmaus retreat. We make it a point to ensure that Kairos is an open, accepting experience for our students. I hope you’ll join us this year as we follow Claver’s mission of seeking God in those at our side.

Registration for the 2009-2010 school year will take place completely online. Please complete this form, with the help of a parent or guardian, if you would like to take part in Kairos. Priority will be given to forms submitted prior to August 15, 2009; registration will continue until each retreat is full.
