Student Course Selection Process Begins

On March 16, Prep students began the process of requesting the courses they hope to take during the 2010-2011 school year. Between now and March 24, Guidance Counselors will distribute course selection materials and explain the process to freshmen and juniors during scheduled group guidance sessions. On Monday, March 22, sophomores will receive their course selection materials during a special homeroom session. This year, we have posted the Course of Studies Booklet on our website,. Students and parents should refer to this document as they consider their options for next year.

Rebuilding Together: A Family Service Opportunity

Two to three Prep families (10-15 people total) are needed to help rebuild a Jersey City home for a family in need on Saturday, April 10. The project will begin at 7 am, and will provide an opportunity for Prep families to work together to improve a home, a family's life and, in the process, an entire neighborhood. Join Us For a Parent Ignatian Saturday

Parents are invited to join us for the Ignatian Saturday Series this weekend. This week's session, “Ignatian Spirituality for Me,”  takes place Saturday, March 13, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Ignatian spirituality is spirituality for busy people. Together we will look at the ideas of contemplative prayer and discernment, and offer real (and easy!) ways for members of the community to integrate Jesuit prayer into their daily lives. Adjustments to School Calendar Announced

After careful consideration of missed instructional time due to the three recent snow days, all students and faculty should make note of the following changes to our school calendar:  The short order day scheduled for Wednesday, March 17, is now a regular time order day with 40-minute periods; the department meetings will be re-scheduled.  The Professional Development Day for teachers scheduled for Friday, March 19, will be re-scheduled and will be now a regular-order class day.  Letter day to be assigned.  Monday, April 12, will remain a day with no classes for students. Thank you for your patience and understanding with these changes.

Financial Aid Deadline Set

The deadline for 2010-11 financial aid applications has been set for Monday, May 17. Click here for the online application and further details.  Families of returning students must re-apply for financial aid each year, and must complete the FAIR application process by the deadline to ensure that their applications can be considered.  Please direct any questions to Mr. Kevin Albers, Director of Financial Aid, at 201-547-6497.
